There is a space, a space between each of these words on the screen and between each thought. That short bit of silence is a portal to the void that I am referring to. There are objects in the room, but there is also space between where you are and where those objects are; can you focus on the unseen rather than the seen?
In Yoga Nidra we spend a lot of time in the “chidakasha” which is the dark space a couple inches in front of the forehead . The void is opposite the chidakasha and it’s called the Bindu. It is a cresent moon flipped around like a smiling Cheshire cat near the back skull, opposite the forehead. This is the female essence, the spaciousness that allows all else to become within her presence.
Practice resting your awareness back, within the physical structure known as the cranium; Breathe and be aware of the breathing as you focus your mental attention upon the fertile void of the bindu.
